I might as well be a slave to Pinterest. Regardless of what I’m doing, I will always find a way to browse recipe ideas on my Pinterest feed.
Now I try to actually replicate the recipes and try them for myself, but sometimes my busy schedule doesn’t always allow that.
Fortunately today I was able to try a new take on a Grilled Cheese sandwich.
I love Fall season, because I am a Pumpkin addict. Anything pumpkin related is always #1 in my heart, so I was excited to try a Pumpkin Grilled Cheese sandwich.
It may sound odd, but it surprisingly wasn’t too bad! I think my only downfall was being Pumpkin happy with the portion and not giving an equal ratio with cheese. Other than that, I would recommend trying it if you love Pumpkin and want a creative take on a staple sandwich.
Pumpkin Grilled Cheese:
Ingredients:
Scoop of Pumpkin Puree
Cheese of your preference (I’m lactose intolerant, so I use Daiya Vegan Cheese)
Bread of your preference (I prefer Wheat Bread)
Directions:
Spread butter on both slices of bread
Heat up skillet
Place a slice of bread on skillet to begin grilling: (butter side on skillet)
Place cheese slices on top of bread
Spread a scoop of Pumpkin Puree on top of cheese
Add any other ingredients ( I added avocado slices)
Place other slice of bread with butter side facing up
Flip when bread is at desired finish
