Being a lactose-intolerant has it’s downfalls. I’m not able to enjoy dairy products, like everyone else, simply because my system will corrupt.
Would I like to order a Bean and Cheese Burrito with no worries? Of course! Would I want to eat that Cheeseburger with not a care in the world? Obviously! But my body wasn’t built for that and it’s something that I have had to endure my whole life.
People always say “Oh my gosh I would go crazy!” when I tell them I’m lactose intolerant. Now while I understand, it’s really not so bad and as difficult to manage as people think.
Luckily in today’s health-crazed society, many dairy- free products are being offered. I’m able to enjoy cheese without the risk of being sick (Daiya cheese is my fave), lactose free cream cheese for my bagels, dairy-free yogurt for breakfast and almond milk for, well, everything!
Despite being lactose intolerant, I LOVE Pizza. If you have been following my blog, you can probably notice that I tend to dedicate a lot of posts to pizza. Whether it be the pizza I ate, created or just want to show off to everyone. If it makes my mouth drool, I can only imagine it could seem satisfying to others as well.
Today, I’m going to post another pizza post. Simply, because I’m craving Pizza yet again and want to show off my awesome meal.
So I finally got around to trying the new “oven ready” Vegan Pizza from Whole Foods and it was absolutely amazing! It was a personal pizza size, which is definitely the perfect size. It’s not too much, but it’s satisfying enough to keep you full. Whole Wheat crust, topped with black olives, tomatoes, parsley and Daiya Cheese (my fave), that offers a good amount of iron, Vitamins and 17 grams of Whole Grain. This pizza is officially my go-to if I want a quick pizza that won’t kill my diet.
The best part is that it’s healthy alternative to the fatty, greasy pizza that you can normally get.
I definitely recommend it if you are looking to find a healthy option to satisfy your junk-food craving!
